Directors notes
Maurice Tishman (1887-1955) was born in Warsaw Poland in 1887 but later emigrated to America where he began his career as a jeweller in 1907. In the 1920s he established his own workshop on New York’s Fifth Avenue where he produced many individually designed and finely crafted pieces of gem-set jewellery.
