A Striking Dress Watch With Wide Knitted 18ct Yellow Gold Bracelet
A striking vintage gold bracelet watch by Bueche-Girod c.1970s, the wide bracelet in 18ct yellow gold formed of twisted gold threads woven into an openwork criss-cross pattern knitted style mesh, creating an almost chain mail like effect, off-set to the centre with an oval watch face within a gold frame, the hands both in gold, the hours marked with engraved lines and the face signed Bueche-Girod in black script to the top and Swiss Made in small black letters to the base, the winding mechanism to the outer edge, the reverse numbered 7603 and 40864. This is a wonderfully flamboyant watch previously owned by one of the great Hollywood entertainers of the mid 20th century and famously one of the original members of the Rat Pack along with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
