An Iconic 18ct Gold Capricorn Pendant from the Zodiac Collection

An 18ct gold Zodiac pendant by Georges Lenfant for Van Cleef & Arpels, circa 1970s, the round disc shaped pendant for the 10th sign Capricorn designed as an ancient coin, the front with a raised image of a standing goat facing left and the reverse with the dates for this sign in Roman numerals XXI XII and XX I for 21st December and 20th January with the zodiac symbol in between. The pendant has a lovely patina and is suspended from an integral drop shaped pendant loop.

Van Cleef & Arpels

On June 16th 1906 Van Cleef & Arpels opened the doors to their first boutique at number 22, Place Vendôme. Next door to Lalique, opposite the Ritz and a stones throw from Boucheron, this would prove to be the first of many boutiques that the highly successful Maison would open around the world during the 20th Century.
