An Elegant Pair of Fan Shaped Coral and Diamond Ear Clips

An elegant pair of diamond and coral earrings by Van Cleef & Arpels c.1970s, each earring of elongated fan shape set with a piece of carved and polished coral of tapering form with rounded ends and domed profile, edged with a channel set row of round brilliant cut diamonds, all in 18ct yellow gold with clip fittings. These stylish earrings are a flattering shape and easy to wear design whilst the clip fittings mean they can be worn by both pierced and non-pierced ears.

Next door to Lalique, opposite the Ritz and a stones throw from Boucheron, this would prove to be the first of many boutiques that the highly successful Maison would open around the world during the 20th Century.
