Two-Tone 18ct Gold and Gem-set Triple Cuff Bangle

A two colour gold and gem-set cuff bangle by Bulgari c.1980s, the cuff composed of three separate bangles unconnected at the front and joined together on both sides at the back, all in 18ct yellow gold with white gold bands and each set to the front with an oval cabochon gemstone, the central one is pink tourmaline and either side is a green tourmaline and an iolite all in rub over settings, the bangle is slightly sprung for ease of wear and sits very comfortably on the wrist, the stones neatly sit on the diagonal rather than directly above each other, a great colourful bangle for every day wear.

In 1880 a young Greek silversmith, Sotirios Boulgaris, arrived in Italy looking to build a new life. It didn’t take him long to establish himself and after a couple of false starts he opened his eponymous shop on Via Sistina in Rome in 1884.  He Italianised his name to Sotirio Bulgari and the firm that would eventually come to represent the very essence of ‘la dolce vita’ was born.
