This style known as ‘bombé’ is named after the French dessert ‘bombé glacée’ a spherical ice cream treat. Tiffany sold rings of this shape in the late 1970’s until mid 1980’s and they usually featured diamonds, rubies and sapphires in various combinations set across the curved surface of the jewel.
