Van Cleef & Arpels

A Stylish Retro Gold, Ruby and Diamond Cross Over Dress Ring

A stylish Retro vintage gold, ruby and diamond ring by Van Cleef and Arpels 1958, designed as a wraparound cross over stylised leaf with reeded markings and three dimensional profile, one half embellished with a central row of five round rubies in claw settings and the other with five round diamonds. This wonderful ring was part of the ‘la boutique’ collection of jewellery and is typical of 1950s design. It has a lovely shape and the asymmetry of the twisted crossover is highlighted with the use of contrasting rubies and diamonds. An easy to wear ring that looks as good today as it did 60 plus years ago.
