A Vintage 18ct Yellow Gold and Diamond Necklace by Georges Lenfant

A vintage gold and diamond necklace by Georges Lenfant for Mauboussin, circa 1960. The 18ct yellow gold necklace is highly articulated and designed as plaited gold textured with striations and accented with pairs of round brilliant cut diamonds grain set in platinum sections. The necklace fastens with a concealed clasp and safety clip.

A jeweller’s jeweller, the Georges Lenfant workshop was not only a Cartier workmaster but also made jewellery for many of the top Parisian houses of the Place Vendome and rue de la Paix. The list is extensive and impressive, they could be described as the unsung heroes of 20th Century French jewellery.
