An 18ct Yellow Gold Necklace from the ‘Minoan and Mycenaean’ Collection

An 18ct yellow gold bead necklace by Lalaounis, circa 1960. The necklace is from the ‘Minoan and Mycenaean’ collection, designed as a row of alternating fluted or textured barrel shape beads with ribbed bouton shape beads all in 18ct yellow gold with a satin finish, to a central drop of similar beads terminating in a larger spherical bead with a finely hammered texture. The necklace is secured with a concealed tongue and box clasp.
