A Stylish Gold Bead Necklace from the ‘Minoan and Mycenaean’ Collection

A stylish gold bead necklace by Lalaounis, c.1960s, the necklace from the Minoan and Mycenaean collection, designed as a row of alternating fluted or textured barrel shape beads with ribbed bouton shape beads all in 18ct yellow gold and with a similar drop terminating in a large spherical bead of finely hammered texture, to a concealed tongue and box clasp. This is a bold and beautiful necklace, the variety of shapes and complimentary textures of the different beads creates visual interest and the satin finish is wonderfully tactile.
