A Stunning Pair of Diamond Day to Night Earrings

A stunning pair of vintage diamond day-to-night earrings by Kutchinsky c.1950s, the earrings formed of a main cluster centred on a brilliant cut diamond surrounded by marquise diamonds in a stylised floral pattern, beneath which is suspended a detachable drop which is highly articulated and set with pear shape, round and marquise diamonds, all set in platinum to post and clip fittings. These lovely statement earrings are set with a variety of diamond cuts which is typical for the period and they make great use of the marquise cut to create a strong shape. The diamonds are all good quality and have been well matched, the detachable drops allow them to be worn both as a stud and as a fancy drop which offers versatility of wear. The drops are finely articulated allowing them lots of movement and opportunity to catch the light, they would certainly add some vintage style and elegance to any ensemble.
