Directors Notes
Andrew Grima was a legend of British jewellery design and the textured gold as seen in these earrings certainly became one of his signatures. Grima’s creative and distinctive gold work was born from his quest to experiment and develop techniques that created a more organic finish, “…to make gold look like a material which nature might have produced.” Over the years his jewellery caught many an eye, from royalty to fashion icons, connoisseurs and experts to museums. These earrings are instantly recognisable as Grima and are as chic today as they were when he designed them in the 60s.
