A Gold Chain Necklace with Diamond Double Link Motif

A vintage gold and diamond necklace by Cartier c.1982, designed as a narrow smooth flattened curb link chain in 18ct yellow gold centred with a double loop and link motif, each loop tear drop in shape, set with round brilliant cut diamonds and joined together with an oval link also set with round brilliant diamonds, all to a concealed tongue and box clasp with safety. The hallmark of quality one expects from pieces by both Cartier and Lenfant is evident in the wonderfully smooth, flexible and tactile chain. The short collar length necklace sits around the base of the neck, is easy and comfortable to wear and is suitable for both day and evening, dressed up or down.
