Edwardian, circa 1905

Edwardian Carved Moonstone Cameo and Diamond Pendant

A beautiful Edwardian carved moonstone and diamond pendant c.1905, set with an oval moonstone cameo carved with a classical female head and shoulders in profile, this is set in a platinum bezel setting and surrounded by an ornate foliate frame set throughout with old cut diamonds, this suspended from a run of six diamonds beneath a fleur-de-lys style motif, all to a platinum link chain. The moonstone has a lovely schiller with the ethereal blue glow seeming to roam over the gem as the piece is turned. The diamonds are bright and well matched and the frame suits the cameo perfectly.
