A Beautifully Sculptural Rose Brooch in 18ct Yellow Gold

A beautiful 18ct yellow gold rose brooch by Cartier 1959, designed as a highly three-dimensional sculptural single rose flower partially open and unfurled, each realistically modelled petal hand crafted from a sheet of finely textured hammered 18ct yellow gold, to a single pin brooch fitting on the reverse. This wonderful large rose reflects the asymmetry and irregularity found in nature with each petal individually formed and showing variations in size, shape and curvature. The soft, tactile finish of the gold creates a velvety texture which reflects the light so beautifully and feels naturalistic. A perfect rose that is everlasting and not a thorn in sight.
