A Stylish 18ct Gold and Diamond Flower Brooch

An elegant vintage gold and diamond flower brooch by Cartier c.1950s, the large openwork flower with five petals formed of looped gold threads, three with polished finish and two twisted, the centre formed of a cluster of round brilliant diamonds with each petal set with a central row of brilliants, all to a double pronged clip fitting. Quintessentially 1950s in style this brooch creates impact with sculptural form and volume, textural variation and sparkling diamonds. The diamonds sit beautifully against the warmth of the yellow gold and the openness of the design maintains a feeling of lightness despite its statement size. A wonderful vintage jewel by one of the most iconic jewellery houses in the world.
