A Beautiful Silk Evening Bag With Jade and Diamond Clasp

A beautiful Art Deco silk brocade and gemstone evening bag by Cartier London, circa 1925, the bag of rectangular envelope design, the silk embroidered with a floral motif in metallic silver, pinky-brown and green thread, the bag opening to reveal a plain creamy coloured silk lining with two main compartments, the larger of which has two pockets to each side, the back two with a small purse in one and a mirror in the other, the top flap secured with a stunning hinged clasp formed of an oval cabochon of certified Burmese jadeite jade set horizontally in platinum with a diamond surround set with round and baguette diamonds.
