An Art Deco Black Enamel and Diamond Gentleman’s Dress Set

An Art Deco gentleman’s dress set by Cartier c.1925. The complete set is composed of a pair of matching cufflinks, three buttons and two shirt studs. Each is centred with a single round diamond in rub over setting surrounded with a border of black enamel, a platinum disc with concentric circles engraved on it and another black enamel border. They are backed with 18ct gold, the cufflinks double ended and with a chain link, all in original red leather Cartier box.

During the Art Deco period Cartier produced some exceptional accessories alongside their jewellery and dress sets such as this were hugely popular. This is a lovely example of its type and remains highly wearable even after 100 years.
