Vintage Yellow and White Gold Convertible Sautoir/Bracelet with Diamonds

A vintage two tone gold and diamond chain link necklace by Cartier c.1970s, designed as a wonderfully flexible uniform size square open link chain in alternating sections of plain polished 18ct yellow gold and 18ct white gold set with round brilliant cut diamonds. This lovely weighty 30 inch chain cleverly converts into four matching bracelets via four exceptionally well concealed clasps. It can also be worn as a 22.5 inch necklace and single bracelet or a short 15 inch necklace and two bracelets offering a level of versatility rarely seen in a vintage chain. The mix of the two colours of gold enable it to be worn with other jewels of either colour and the addition of diamonds to the white gold links adds a subtle sparkle and elevates this piece to something a little more special than a plain gold necklace.
