A stylish pair of vintage gold and sapphire huggie ear clips by Cartier c.1980s, each earring designed as a domed oval hoop in 18ct yellow gold set to the front with a vertical row of eight calibre cut rectangular step cut sapphires in channel setting, to clip fittings. The high-quality sapphires are a wonderfully intense rich colour and have been well matched for colour and clarity. These lovely vintage earrings are very wearable, the hinged design opens and closes at the bottom allowing the earring to hug the earlobe neatly. They are comfy to wear and look casually chic, an ideal daytime hoop earring with a little extra life provided by the beautiful sapphires.
