Directors Notes

Cartier created a fantastic menagerie of birds during the 1950s and 60s in all manner of sizes, shapes and gemstones. This is a particularly lovely example which showcases the quality of craftsmanship one expects from Cartier. The wonderful engraving on the gold shows great attention to detail and gives the brooch a dimension of naturalism.
