Van Cleef & Arpels

Beautiful Vintage Gold and Diamond Bracelet

A beautiful French vintage gold and diamond bracelet by Van Cleef & Arpels c.1976, designed as a straight uniform row composed of a central line of seventeen vertical lozenge shape motifs formed of a heavily textured gold frame and inset with four round brilliant cut diamonds in platinum between two outer rows of triangular shaped motifs pointing inwards and fitting neatly between each lozenge, these set with three round brilliant diamonds and edged in the same textured gold, all to a concealed tongue and box clasp. The bracelet is beautifully made and articulated with great flexibility and feels smooth to wear. The diamonds are well matched, of high quality and are bright and lively, contrasting well with the heavily textured gold, a finish strongly associated with 1970s jewels.
