A Beautiful Pair of Matching Diamond Clips

A beautiful pair of matching Art Deco diamond and platinum clips c.1925, each of triangular form and openwork design set with a mix of different diamond cuts including round, baguette and marquise cut all in rubover or grain settings, the reverse with hinged clip fittings. These wonderful clips are typical of the period. They are set purely with diamonds in platinum and marry a variety of different styles of diamond cut – the relatively new baguette cut with round stones providing a striking contrast and highlighted with a single marquise in the centre. They would look wonderful worn one on each lapel of a jacket, either side of the neckline of a dress, or perhaps on the collar of a white shirt – there a so many options and ways to wear these, both traditional and modern.
