A Beautiful Pair of Antique Diamond and Natural Pearl Lyre-Shaped Earrings

A beautiful pair of Victorian diamond and natural saltwater pearl earrings circa 1880s, designed as a lyre shaped frame of old cut diamonds and centred with a single round cream pearl encircled with old cut diamonds and with two curved arms forming a stylised V-shape above, the top of trifurcated design and all suspended from an articulated diamond double drop, with hook fittings and with original fitted leather box. These gorgeous antique earrings have such an elegant shape to them, the diamonds are bright and lively and complemented by the creamy lustre of the pearl. The articulation at the top means they move with the wearer and catch the light beautifully.
