Van Cleef & Arpels

A Striking Diamond and Onyx Dress Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold

A striking vintage monochrome dress ring by Van Cleef & Arpels c.1970s, the band style ring of domed profile and tapering form, the front divided into six sections, all alternately set with either a piece of carved and polished black onyx or pavé set with round brilliant cut diamonds, all in 18ct yellow gold. This op-art inspired ring is bold and stylish and could easily be dressed up or down. Part of the iconic ‘la boutique’ range, a concept which VCA launched in 1954 and which sold jewels and accessories at a more accessible price point aimed at a younger clientele, it has a fun vintage vibe.
