A Pair of 18ct Gold and Diamond Cyclamen Leaf Earrings

A pair of gold and diamond leaf earrings by Andrew Grima 1967, the earrings cast in 18ct yellow gold from two leaves of a cyclamen plant, the heart shaped leaves with undulating heavily textured surface have been given a sandblasted matte finish, highlighted with a round brilliant cut diamond to represent a single dew drop on each leaf, with clip fittings to the reverse. Grima produced a limited range of leaf jewels which were cast from real leaves, a process that was highly complex and took much perfecting in order to capture the precise texture and character of each individual leaf.
