Lenfant, Georges

A French Vintage 18ct Two Colour Gold Woven Circles Necklace

A vintage French two-tone gold necklace by Georges Lenfant c.1970s, designed as a uniform row of forty double links of open circular form, one link in 18ct yellow gold overlapped with one in 18ct white gold, both with woven texture and finish interlinked together, the necklace gently tapering in width from centre front to back and with concealed tongue and box clasp. This beautiful collar length necklace is lovely and weighty and the craftsmanship is as exquisite as one would expect from the Georges Lenfant workshop. The light reflects off the woven gold and the gently undulating shape of the links caused by their interweaving. It is a tactile, wearable and stylish piece, instantly recognisable as Lenfant to those familiar with their work.
