Edwardian, circa 1910

A Beautiful Pair of Antique Fire Opal and Diamond Drop Earrings

A beautiful pair of antique Edwardian fire opal and diamond earrings c.1910, designed as a delicate long drop and set with a round faceted fire opal above a run of six tiny old cut diamonds in collet settings with millegrain edging, suspending an elongated flattened briolette fire opal drop of wonderful bright vivid orange colour, all in platinum with hook fittings. These earrings are a lovely Edwardian design and combine the firey orange of the opals with a touch of sparkle from the diamonds. They are beautifully articulated and therefore have great movement when worn which helps them catch the light and attract attention to their elegant beauty.
