A Beautiful Pair of Antique Diamond Drop Earrings

A beautiful pair of Victorian old cut diamond drop earrings c.1880s, the pear shaped earrings formed of a tapering outline of old cut diamonds in cut down collet settings with smaller stones at the point increasing in size towards the bottom curve, suspended within the centre is a pear shape drop set with a small diamond on top of a larger one creating the illusion of a pear shaped stone, all beneath a single diamond top, with gold wire hook fittings. These gorgeous earrings are set with a generous 5cts (estimated) of diamonds and they are beautifully articulated which creates wonderful movement allowing the diamonds to dazzle as they catch the light. These earrings have doubtlessly seen many a party and celebration in their 140 or so years, where will they be worn next?!
