A Beautiful Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Bar Brooch in Platinum

A beautiful Art Deco sapphire and diamond brooch by Cartier c.1930, the elongated bar brooch formed of a central horizontal row of step-cut sapphires in a millegrain channel setting surrounded by a slightly tapering frame of round transition cut diamonds increasing in size towards the centre of the brooch with is set with a round transition cut diamond in rub over millegrain setting within a delicately pierced out border, all in a finely handmade platinum mount with single pin brooch fitting to the reverse. This is an elegant and stylish brooch that would look as good worn on a lapel as it would fastening a wrap or even pinned into a chignon. The graduation is slight but it creates a lovely gentle flow to the piece, the sapphires have been well matched for colour and the diamonds are bright and lively. A little piece of Art Deco chic to add some glamour to any outfit. It comes in its original leather box with cream silk lining.
