A beautiful Edwardian diamond drop pendant c.1910, of ribbon bow and swag design set throughout with old-cut diamonds and suspending six pear shape diamonds to form an articulated fringe, all in platinum backed with gold and with a fine platinum trace link chain.

This pendant is featured on the front cover of the book ‘Metamorphosis’ by Ilias Lalaounis and the necklace is photographed in full on p. 316. It is also shown, alongside the matching bracelet, on p.72 of ‘Ilias Lalaounis : Modern Revival of Ancient Gold’ by Chadour-Sampson and Lalaounis-Tsoukopoulou and p.68-72 describes the inspiration behind the Choreographism collection which was conceived as a tribute to movement in dance.
An example of this necklace is on permanent display at the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in Athens, Greece.
