Directors Notes
This is a very rare Carré cut diamond dating from the Art Deco period. It is a four-sided unlike it’s step cut cosuins (emerald cuts and asscher cuts which are octagonal with cut corners). This creates a beautifully pure step cut facetting which draws your eye to the centre of the stone. Many of these old Carré cut diamonds were repolished into the more commercial emerald and asschers cuts later in the 20th Century, so we truly treasure such a remarkable stone such as this.
